Why Was The Capt. Sax Foundation Started?

The Capt. Sax Foundation was established to honor Captain John J. Sax by providing aviation scholarships.

The Capt. Sax Foundation was established to honor the enduring legacy of Capt. John J. Sax, USMC by providing aviation scholarships in his name. As many are aware, the pursuit of an education or career within the realm of aviation can be costly, encompassing expenses such as college classes, flight school fees, aircraft rentals, and flight hours. John understood these challenges firsthand, partially funding his own educational expenses through the acquisition of scholarships and student loans, in addition to working as a student employee before transitioning to become a CFI.

Your generous support helps perpetuate John’s passion for flight and the profound impact he made on the communities he cherished, continuing to inspire and uplift others – especially those who bravely choose to pursue their dreams and calling, just as he did throughout his lifetime.

“With All We Do, We Honor Him.”
