Honoring John’s Legacy

The Capt. Sax Foundation was established by the surviving spouse and children of Capt. John J. Sax, USMC to honor his life and legacy after his tragic passing in June 2022.

Fueling Aviation Dreams

In commemoration of the memory of Capt. John J. Sax, our foundation provides scholarships to individuals pursuing their dreams in aviation, supporting the aspirations of current and future aviators, as well as those studying or training in related fields. To accomplish this, we work directly with colleges and flight schools across the United States to offer scholarships that support those pursuing their educational and professional aviation goals. These scholarships are available to:

  • Future or current aviators requiring financial aid for licenses, flight hours, certifications, ratings, and more.
  • Students pursuing college degrees in aeronautical science, aeronautical engineering, or other aviation-related fields.
  • Individuals engaged in other aviation-related educational endeavors.

Through your support, we empower both current and future aviators, engineers, military pilots, and others in aviation to make a global impact while ensuring John's legacy continues to inspire and uplift generations to come.

John leaves behind an extraordinary legacy and countless memories that will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved him. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported us and continues to honor John’s memory through their kindness and dedication to the foundation.
