We are excited to announce that the Capt. Sax Foundation has recently awarded a total of $25,500 in aviation scholarships—a heartfelt tribute to the enduring legacy of Capt. John Jeremy Sax, USMC.

The task of selecting recipients for these aviation scholarships was no easy feat for our board, given the remarkable range of applicants—from enthusiasts embarking on their aviation journey to seasoned professionals seeking to elevate their passion to new heights.

Throughout our board’s deliberations, the foundation remained steadfast in embodying our mantra: “with all we do, we honor him.” The scholarships awarded in this first round went to 14 outstanding individuals, each leaving a mark on our board with their inspiring stories. In the coming weeks, we look forward to announcing the names of these recipients and offering glimpses into their remarkable journeys.

Reading each applicant’s story has only strengthened our resolve to expand the Capt. Sax Scholarship program with every round of awards. We envision a future where we can extend assistance to more applicants and are hopeful that those who weren’t selected in this round might consider applying again, with a second-round cutoff of May 15, 2024.
