Giving Tuesday: Fuel Aviation Dreams

As we mark another Giving Tuesday, we’re reminded of how much this community has carried us through the past few years. Every message, donation, share, and quiet act of support has helped keep the legacy of Capt John Sax alive. For those who have followed our work from the beginning, and for those who have recently connected with the stories we’ve shared about John Sax, we’re thankful for you.

This foundation was created to honor Captain John J Sax – a Marine, aviator, husband, father, and friend whose passion for flight shaped the course of his life. John believed in mentoring the next generation and giving others a chance to pursue their own aviation goals. Our John Sax Scholarships reflects that belief. Each year, we support students studying to become pilots, aircraft mechanics, air traffic controllers, engineers, and others working toward careers in aviation. It’s our way of continuing the work John cared about so deeply.

We remain fully volunteer-powered and operate as a registered 501(c)(3). From the beginning, we committed to a simple promise: 100% of every dollar collected supports our aviation scholarship recipients. We don’t take salaries, administrative fees, or operational costs from donations. The community entrusts us with these resources, and we are intentional about ensuring they go exactly where supporters expect them to go.

This mission is built on transparency, service, and heart. We publish our financial reports on our website so donors can see exactly how funds are used and how each award helps advance opportunities in aviation. Carrying John’s legacy forward means honoring the values he lived by, including integrity and care for the people around him.
