In Honor of Capt John Sax’s Birthday: “Live Like John”

Today Capt John Sax would have been celebrating his 37th birthday. For the years he wasn’t given, we recognize that living for him is how we honor him. Loved beyond words, missed beyond measure. Today and every day, I hope to encourage you to live as John did.

One of his favorite quotes was from Neale Donald Walsch:

“𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐞.”

Whenever I’ve hesitated to take a leap, John would remind me of these words. They’ve stayed with me as a reminder that growth and comfort rarely coexist.

Take the chance. Do the thing that scares you. Live boldly. It’s one of the greatest ways we can honor him.
