Our Commitment to Transparency
Thank you for your generous support of the Capt. Sax Foundation. Our mission is built on integrity, transparency, and a commitment to honoring Capt. John J. Sax by supporting the communities he was so proud to be part of.
Founded in 2022 by John’s wife, Amber, the Capt. Sax Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and a registered Charitable Trust with the State of California (EIN: 88-3929193).
Key Information:
- 100% of donations made by our supporters go directly to our scholarship fund and recipients.
- 100% of the purchase price of items in our memorial shop goes directly to the scholarship fund, as all items are donated to support our mission.
- All expenses, except transaction fees, are personally covered by John’s wife unless otherwise specified by the donor.
- The foundation is entirely volunteer-powered, with no salaries or financial compensation of any kind.
- We are committed to full transparency, ensuring every dollar donated supports our recipients in John’s honor.
