Who We Are – Friends & Family of Capt. John Sax

For those learning about us for the first time, the Capt. Sax Foundation is a memorial foundation dedicated to honoring the legacy of Capt. John J. Sax, USMC. Established by the family of John Sax – his wife, Amber, and their two children, this foundation carries forward John’s passion for aviation, mentorship, and service by providing aviation scholarships in his honor.

As a Marine Corps pilot, John Sax was deeply committed to pursuing his lifelong dream, and his impact continues today through the opportunities we provide to others that share his love for flight. Our foundation is entirely volunteer-powered, with a board composed exclusively of civilian and military pilots who ensure each scholarship awarded supports individuals and their aviation dreams.
