“To Know John is to Love John”

Photo of Capt John J. Sax with the text, "to know John is to love John."

“One of the most genuinely kind guys I’ve ever had the pleasure to serve alongside. You could see him smile in a sea of people, and man was he always smiling. John was just one of those guys that everyone got along with and would hangout with everyone. We miss you everyday buddy. You were the very best of all of us.”

Over the past few years, reading tributes like this – shared through posts, comments, and messages, has meant everything to us. These stories are a powerful reminder that carrying forward the legacies of the fallen is a mission we all share. We’re so deeply grateful when people take the time to share a memory, and we hope those stories keep coming, whether it’s with us, or with the loved ones of others you’ve lost.

Thank you to everyone who continues to help us honor John. The Capt Sax Foundation exists not only to uplift others through aviation scholarships, but to make sure John’s story only continues to be told.
