Capt Sax Foundation Awards 10 Scholarships in Latest Round
Today, the Capt Sax Foundation board came together for another round of scholarship deliberations, and we are proud to share that ๐๐ ๐๐ฏ๐ข๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ฌ๐๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ๐ฌ, totaling $๐๐,๐๐๐, have been awarded. With this latest round, our foundation has now awarded a total of $๐๐,๐๐๐ in scholarships in honor of Capt John J. Sax, USMC.
Each scholarship awarded through our foundation is rooted in a mission larger than financial support alone. These awards are given in Johnโs honor and are meant to carry forward his love of flight, service, and mentorship by investing in those pursuing their own future in aviation. Our applicants represent a wide range of aviation pathways, including current and aspiring pilots, those building time and advancing ratings, and individuals pursuing aviation through technical training, engineering, air traffic control, and other aviation-related studies and careers.
Each application cycle is a reminder of the dedication, discipline, and passion that exist across this community. Every application reflects hard work, sacrifice, and a sincere commitment to pursuing an aviation dream.
Selected recipients are being contacted by members of our board this week. To every applicant who shared their story with us, thank you. We know the courage it takes to apply, and we never take that lightly.
For applicants who were not selected this round, we strongly encourage reapplying in the future. Persistence matters, and this cycle we were especially grateful to award scholarships to ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ข๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ who chose to come back and share their story with us once again.
None of this would be possible without the generosity of our donors and the tireless efforts of our all-volunteer board and directors. Their support allows us to continue this mission and remain committed to our promise that 100% of every donation collected goes directly to scholarship recipients.
To learn more, please visit our website, where you can find our scholarship application, eligibility details on our dedicated FAQ page, and more about our 100% donor promise on our Transparency page. Our annual financial report will also be shared this summer.
Our next application cutoff is June 15, 2026.
With All We Do, We Honor Him.
