The Costs of Flight Training
For many aspiring aviation professionals, the greatest barrier isn’t passion, talent, or work ethic.
𝑰𝒕’𝒔 𝒄𝒐𝒔𝒕.
✈️ According to the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), earning a private pilot certificate alone can cost $𝟲,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗼 $𝟮𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬+, and most students require more than the FAA minimum flight hours.
🛩️ For those pursuing a professional pilot career, some accelerated programs now exceed $𝟏𝟐𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 from zero flight experience through commercial and instructor certifications.
🔧 Aviation maintenance, aerospace, and other aviation career paths can require significant investments in technical training, tools, tuition, testing fees, and specialized equipment before a career even begins.
These costs add up quickly through flight hours, aircraft rental, fuel, instructor time, FAA testing, tools, equipment, tuition, housing, and required certifications.
We believe financial barriers should never be the reason someone gives up on their dreams. We’re committed to helping where we can.
𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐰𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝟏𝟎𝟎% 𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞. All operating expenses are personally covered by our Executive Director, so our donors know with certainty that every dollar they give supports required educational and training costs.
What can a $𝟓𝟎𝟎 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 do?
✈️ Fund an FAA practical exam (“checkride”)
🛩️ Cover several hours of flight training
🎧 Purchase required aviation equipment and supplies
🔧 Help pay for aviation maintenance tools
📚 Cover textbooks and course materials
🩺 Fund required medical exams and certification fees
For so many, the obstacle isn’t a lack of determination. It’s a lack of financial access.
Together, we can help remove these barriers and fuel aviation dreams.
