It started as the VMM-364 motto. It became John’s personal standard.

“Give a Shit.” Simple words, but they carried weight in everything he did. To John, it meant showing up fully, every time. They are the difference between average and exceptional, between routine and excellence.

It was a mindset rooted in care, discipline, and a genuine commitment to doing things the right way, even when no one is watching.

That same standard is what this foundation is built on. Every aviation scholarship we award reflects that level of intention.
