Capt. John Sax Aviation Scholarships

With our first application cutoff date passing on November 15, 2023, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude to those who have supported our mission of honoring Capt. John J. Sax by promoting our aviation scholarship program. To all who applied, thank you for entrusting us with your aspirations.

When laying the framework for this foundation, our focus has remained on ensuring each piece aligned with what John would have wanted. The weight of using his name and image brings with it a deep sense of responsibility, for which our foundation’s guiding mantra has been steadfast: “with all we do, we honor him.†As our board begins to review each application, we will continue to be guided by John, finding gratitude in knowing that his story will continue to be written through the lives that will be touched by his legacy.

In honor of reaching this milestone, we wanted to take a moment to re-share the original logo created for our foundation. This image depicts the outline of John Jeremy Sax proudly standing, as his wings are symbolically placed onto his flight suit by the young child that first grasped onto that dream. Our hope is that John’s story will continue to inspire others that may follow in his footsteps, encouraging them to never give up in the pursuit of their dreams.
