How You Can Help: Honoring Capt. John J. Sax

How you can help our mission: Aviation Scholarships in honor of Capt. John J. Sax

We are grateful to be asked, “how can we help?” This mission of honoring the legacy of Capt. John J. Sax is one that is shared and extends beyond the boundaries of this foundation.

Honor The Fallen: One of the main things that we hope to encourage among our supporters is to honor the fallen by continuing to say their names and share their stories. This foundation was created to honor Capt. John J. Sax, one of five Marines on board Swift 11, lost alongside Capt. Nicholas P. Losapio, Cpl. Nathan E. Carlson, Cpl. Seth D. Rasmuson, and Lance Cpl. Evan A. Strickland.

Spread The Word: We hope to convey our heartfelt thanks to those who follow, support, and share our posts. Sharing our mission helps us by amplifying our efforts.

Sponsor Our Cause: This foundation wouldn’t be possible without donations – regardless of amount, every dollar provides significant help. We are committed to transparency and providing assurance to our donors that every dollar received directly funds aviation scholarships in John’s honor. More information on this can be found on the “transparency” page of our website. Currently we only obtain funding through direct donations and the sale of items in our memorial shop, with 100% of the purchase price for each item going directly into the Capt. Sax Scholarship fund.

Encourage Applicants: The next application cutoff date is May 15, 2024. Our ability to find applicants is reliant on your encouragement for them to apply. Our scholarship application is available on our website, link in bio. Any questions about the application process may be sent to info@captsaxfoundation.org.

The outpouring of love and support that we have received since our launch last year is appreciated beyond words. Thank you for continually entrusting us with your support, allowing us to honor the legacy of Capt. John J. Sax with all that we do.
