June 15 Scholarship Round has Closed

Our June 15 scholarship round has officially closed, and our board is now reviewing more than 100 applications for the next round of Capt Sax Foundation aviation scholarships.

This round includes applicants pursuing many paths across the industry – pilots, maintainers, engineers, air traffic controllers, veterans transitioning into civilian aviation, students just beginning their journey, and others committed to building a future in flight.

Each round reminds us how much talent, grit, and heart exists within the aviation community. It also reminds us why this mission matters: helping reduce financial barriers for those pursuing aviation, while carrying forward John’s legacy of service, mentorship, and love of flight.

We are grateful to every applicant who trusted us with their story, and to every donor and supporter who makes these opportunities possible.

A new group of Capt Sax Foundation scholarship recipients will be announced after our board has completed its review and final deliberations. We appreciate your patience as each application is given the time, care, and consideration it deserves.
